After Long Pandemic Lockdown, National Parks in India Are Now Open

“To walk in nature is to witness a thousand miracles”.

– Mary Davis

The woods are alive with the sound of music…

And we are thrilled to welcome you back to the Central Indian forests after a long-drawn pandemic lockdown of six months.
Now, as we open our doors to you, as a responsible eco-tourism company, we are ensuring all our safety measures are right in place. Your well-being is as much our priority.

We are guessing you can’t wait to get-away on a break to the forests, to reclaim all that you may have missed out on during the last few months.
It is heartening to see the hustle-bustle in our lush forest meadows these days, as the azure blue skies and the speckled autumn sun, readies to welcome you back into it’s fold.

At Pugdundee Safaris we continue to stand steadfast in our faith to conserve the planet and help it heal in every possible way we can.
In tune with our Phrase of the year, “Be the Change, we have worked on creating a ripple effect of change in our communities, in our sustainability and conservation efforts around the lodges, despite the long drawn lockdown.

As we open our doors to you, our precious guests; we are happy to share exciting news from our lodges and forests.

Big Boys Of Central India

Meet the big, bold boys of Central India who rule the forests and parks.

Work From Wilderness

Most of us have been Working from Home (WFH) for a while now.Late in June this year, we were brainstorming on how we could turn WFH into a seamless, stress-free and relaxed experience.

That’s when we came up with the concept of getting away to the forests to work, far from the daily grind of managing home. One could forego the home management responsibilities in our wilderness lodges, while working and getting rejuvenated in our natural, forest setting.
That’s when we coined the term, Work from Wilderness (WFW). Little did we know this WFW would become a run-away hit with other lodges and travel operators!!

We offer you a peaceful sanctuary where the lines between work and home management don’t get blurred. Read our blog post on WFW here.

Here’s what one of our guests who spent almost a month Working from Wilderness at one of our lodges, says about his experience.

Covid Safety Measures

Our Covid safety measures are bang in place. Your well being is of top priority to us and there is no way we would comprise on your health and safety.

Here’s what we are doing to ensure your safety and good health.
Our guests are returning home happy and satisfied with the safety measures adopted by us.

Waghoba Eco-Lodge, our new Getaway for you, now in October 2021!

Our Waghoba Eco Lodge in Tadoba was all set to welcome you this year, but owing to the pandemic we have had to put our opening dates on hold.
Like all our lodges Waghoba Eco-Lodge is located amidst the forest. We are preserving the natural wilderness, despite the construction work under progress. We are setting new benchmarks in eco-tourism with this unique property which will be our first in Maharashtra.

We are already ensuring root stock protection, and building a lake with a hide that will enable some fantastic eye level shots, for birding and photography. The forest is also being regenerated on this farmland with the plantation of over 3000 saplings of trees and plants. The forest is returning to its full glory, already.

The lodge being constructed with hand-made Adobe bricks and Guna roof tiles, is shaping up wonderfully.

We look forward to now welcoming you and yours to our eco-luxe lodges where you can relax and rejuvenate in the company of unhindered sights and wilderness.

Meanwhile, stay safe, stay optimistic. And love each other and this Earth a little more than you already do.
